There is more than one way to move through a digital job site, and which one is fastest depends on what you are trying to see. Match your goal to a scenario below. For step-by-step instructions on each control, see Basic Navigation of the 360° Viewer and Advanced Navigation of the 360° Viewer.
I want to review the whole job site in detail
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard while inside a 360° image.
Up and down move you forward and backward along the path the Capture Specialist walked.
Left and right pan your view without moving you.
This is the closest thing to walking the site yourself, and it is the only method that guarantees you do not skip an area.
I only need to check a few specific areas
Stepping through every node is slow if you already know where you are going. Instead, use the mini-map in the lower left corner of the 360 image. Hover over it to expand it, then click the node closest to the area you want. The viewer jumps straight there.
I need to move between floors or buildings
Click Locations in the top right. The panel lists your project as a tree:
Building, for example BLDG 07
Area within that building, for example the site plan
Level, for example Terrace Level, Level 01, Level 02
The walkthrough dates captured for that level
Expand down to the level you want and pick a date. This is also how you compare the same floor across two site walks: open one date, note what you are looking at, then come back to Locations and choose an earlier one.
I want to see how one area changed over time
Stay where you are and change the date instead of the location. The date picker sits at the top right, next to Locations. Switching dates keeps you in the same part of the floor plan, so you see the same space at a different point in the build.
A few habits that save time
Zoom the floor plan in before clicking nodes. The nodes are small at the default zoom and easy to miss.
If you need to send a specific view to someone without an OnsiteIQ login, use Share in the top right. See Share a Project or Create a Public Link.
