This guide walks you through how to read and interact with the Gantt Chart in OnsiteIQ to plan and track your construction schedules with precision.
How to Navigate to Gantt
From the Portfolio Dashboard (list of projects you have access to), click the name of the project you'd like to view.
Once inside a project, click on the Gantt icon in the left-hand sidebar to access the chart.
What are the Different Sections of the Chart?
The Gantt Chart is divided into two main parts:
Task Panel
Timeline Panel
These panels work together to help you visualize every trade, floor, and milestone — and how they align over time.
1. Task Panel (Left Side)
This panel lists all the tasks and scopes of work included in the project schedule.
Hierarchical Structure: Major scopes like Mechanical Rough-In can be expanded to reveal detailed subtasks (e.g., Level 1, Level 2, Roof, etc.).
Drill-Down Capabilities: Click the caret next to any group to expand/collapse subtasks.
2. Timeline Panel (Right Side)
This section shows how tasks are scheduled and progressing over time.
Bars: Each task is visualized as a bar that spans its planned duration.
Progress Fill: The bar fill shows actual progress (% complete) relative to the total duration of the project.
Interacting with the Table
You can customize the view and access deeper insights using the controls and interactive tools built into the Gantt interface.
→ View Modes

Use Weeks for granular detail or Months for a broader timeline overview.

End: If 100% complete then this field will show the date 100%M progress was reached. If not 100% complete then this field will show the most recent date of capture.
Complete: % complete
