Getting Started With the OnsiteIQ AI Agent

OnsiteIQ - Symbol - Black.png

The AI Agent answers questions about your project in plain language. Ask it what is behind schedule, what changed since the last walk, or for a written progress summary, and it reads your project's data to answer.

The AI Agent is in Beta.

Availability

The AI Agent is available on Enterprise projects. If you do not see Agent at the top of the left sidebar, the project is not on a plan that includes it. Ask your Customer Success Manager or email customersuccess@onsiteiq.io.

Opening the Agent

  1. Open any project from the Portfolio Dashboard.

  2. Click Agent at the top of the left sidebar. It is available from any page inside a project.

What is on the screen

  • Three starter prompts sit above the text box: Progress Report, Which milestones/trades are behind schedule, and Floor-by-Floor Breakdown. Clicking one runs it immediately, which is the fastest way to see what the Agent can do.

  • The prompt box, marked "Ask anything about your project." Type a question and press Enter.

  • Upload document, the paperclip at the left of the prompt box, lets you bring a file into the conversation.

  • New Chat, top right, starts a fresh conversation. Use it when you change subject, so earlier answers do not color the new ones.

What you can ask

  • Progress updates and look backs

  • Which trades, floors, or units are behind

  • What changed since a given date or since the last site walk

  • Unit-level and floor-level detail

  • Written reports and draft emails

  • General questions about your project's data

Getting better answers

  • Name the time range. "In the last 30 days" beats "recently."

  • Name the place. A floor, a building, a unit, or a trade narrows the answer usefully.

  • Lead with a verb. Generate, summarize, identify, compare, list.

  • Follow up rather than restart. "Now break that down by floor" works, and keeps the context.

  • Follow the links. When an answer includes links, they jump straight to the floor plan or 360° view behind the claim, which is the quickest way to check it.

Example prompts

  • "Create a summary of progress over the last 30 days."

  • "Which units on Level 5 are behind schedule?"

  • "Highlight anything that changed since our last site walk."

More prompts to borrow are in the AI Agent Prompt Library.

The Agent screen carries this note, and it is worth taking seriously: OnsiteIQ Agent can make mistakes. Consider verifying important information. Check anything against the underlying capture.
