Questions about the Portfolio Dashboard, answered.

What is the Portfolio Dashboard?

It pulls progress and schedule data together so you can see risk across every project at a glance, rather than opening them one at a time. The columns are Last Walk, Progress, Momentum, Baseline and Forecast, with the variance in days shown under the forecast date.

What is Progress and how is it calculated?

Each time a Capture Specialist collects data, OnsiteIQ's computer vision models scan the 360° imagery for construction objects and milestones in place. That generates progress for every walkthrough, which is aggregated into milestone totals, then combined into a single percentage for the project using a weighted average based on construction logic.

What is Forecast?

A forecast completion date appears once a project is at least 65% complete and has recent progress data. It pauses if work stalls, and stops entirely once the project reaches 98%. The model is a 60-day trend.

Momentum and Forecast are forecasts based on captured visual progress. Verify before actioning.

What is Variance?

Where a project has both a baseline completion date and a forecast completion date, variance is the gap between them in days, shown under the forecast date. A negative number means ahead of schedule.

What is Total Duration in the drawer?

The time since OnsiteIQ first detected activity on a milestone. Under 30 days it is shown in days; beyond that it switches to weeks, rounded up.

  • 23 days since first progress → 23 days

  • 35 days → 5 weeks

  • 72 days → 11 weeks (72 ÷ 7 = 10.3, rounded up)

What is Milestone Activity in the drawer?

It groups a project's milestones by what has happened to them in the last 30 days.

  • Active — the milestones with the most progress in the last 30 days, sorted by how much they moved.

  • Started — milestones that went from zero to some progress in the last 30 days, most recent first.

  • Completed — milestones that reached 100% in the last 30 days, most recent first.

What is Baseline?

The substantial completion date from your baseline schedule. It drives the dashed baseline line on the progress graph, the variance calculation, and the Behind Schedule flags inside the project.

There are two ways to set baseline dates. Email your construction schedule to assistant@onsiteiq.io and we set them across the project, or enter a Baseline Completion date yourself in a cell's drawer. Sending the schedule is the recommended route, since it covers the whole job at once and stays current as the schedule changes.
