This tutorial goes over how to create an Observation in OnsiteIQ and send it to a connected Procore project’s Observations tool.

Things to Consider

  • In order to send an Observation to Procore, all of the following must be true:

    • The Procore integration must be enabled. See Enable the Procore Integration.

    • The connected Procore project has the Observations tool enabled.

    • You have at least Standard permissions to the Observations tool on the connected Procore project.

  • The 360° image from which the markup was created will be added to the Procore Observation as an attachment. The Procore Observation will also include a link to the markup in OnsiteIQ.

Steps

  1. Navigate to a 360° image.

  2. Once you are satisfied with the current view of the digital job site, click on the Markup icon in the lower right hand corner of the image.

  3. Click on the area of the image you would like the Observation to be associated with.

  4. In the ‘Mark-Up’ window that appears, select Procore Observation.

  5. Complete the form that appears with the appropriate information.

    • Notes:

      • All of the fields in the form are coming directly from the connected Procore project’s Observations tool.

      • Click on More Options to see additional fields.

  6. Click Post Markup.

  7. Click on the correlating blue node that appears on the 360° image.

  8. Click View on Procore within the details of the markup.

    • Notes:

      • This will take you to the Observation within Procore.

      • The number of the Observation within Procore may not match the number of the Observation within OnsiteIQ. The Observation number in Procore is determined by the amount of Observations that have been created in Procore. The Observation number within OnsiteIQ is determined by the total amount of markups that have been created on the project in OnsiteIQ.
